MicroDried Rebrand
Logo Design
Milne MicroDried specializes in dried fruit and vegetable products for the food and beverage industry. They offer their produce in whole pieces, fragments, and powders. When the brand was first launched, they were a division of Milne Fruit, which specializes in juices and purees. There were issues with customers confusing the two companies, so a decision was made to rename the company after the unique process of Microdrying. To maintain a sense of brand continuity, I reused the MicroDried purple as well as the “Powders – Fragments – Whole” tagline. I made the decision to add more visual weight to the MicroDried logo and the addition of “Fruits & Vegetables” to automatically inform customers of the products offered by the company.
MicroDried was looking for a monthly email newsletter to promote either a specific product or an application. I was tasked with creating a brand identity for the newsletter. When designing the Real Appeal, I selected a scripted font where the letterforms break into smaller fragments. This design decision was primarily to show the whole letters fracturing into fragments and powders.
2022 marked the tenth year of MicoDried as a company. I was tasked with creating a logo to document the anniversary. The logo maintained the basic look of the MicroDried logo with the addition of a large overarching number 10. The zero of the 10 is a minimalist illustration of a blueberry used to reference the first product offered by the MicroDried brand.
